old friends, poopy pants and weddings in maine

I swear there is nothing in the world better than friends you have known for a long time. They get you, and even a short amount of time spent with them makes your day a little brighter!

Had dinner with my college friends Tiff and Jamie yesterday. Was wonderful even though I felt horrible. They are both deep in the planning of their weddings and it is so much fun to share that excitement with them. It is amazing that nothing changes, we still laugh at the same stuff, and fall into the same comfortable patterns, you gotta love that.

Especially since right before I left for Tiff's house I had to clean out some yucky underwear. I swear, the joys of motherhood. Potty training is coming along, slowly but surely. No accidents at school which means, if Alex can hold on for two more days he gets to swim next week.

As far as this pregnancy goes, I am losing it. Hormonal, emotional and generally miserable. But I can't wait to meet Michael. I have been anticipating his arrival for so long that it is surreal. We have an ultrasound tomorrow to see how big he is, and to make sure I am not going to go into labor this weekend while Jason is in Maine for his brothers wedding.

So bummed I am missing Andrea becoming a part of our family. Jason's family is all boys, he actually has a total of 5 stepbrothers, but is close to two of them. Then he has two brothers of his own, and we have been so lucky as all the women marrying into this family are amazing strong, caring women. Makes for fun family get togethers.

My parents are coming down from the mountains to "baby" sit me and Alex. We are planning on making the trek to Aurora to hang out with Alex's "Budd" cousins.
