July 18th- 3 weeks till Michael arrives

Just another crazy day in the Hauck household. After a rough day yesterday with the pregnancy, a much needed semi-deep sleep occurred by me. (If you can call waking up every hour to turn over or go to the bathroom, deep sleep). Was awakend by a sweet 3 1/2 year old declaring "Dada, I need you to change my sheets, I tinkled in my pants." This followed by some unintelligible whining and some commentary by Jason.

After we finally got Alex to come into the room to talk to us, I informed him that he needed to change his pants, (Although they didn't look wet). He kept telling me he already had, but I could have sworn he was wearing the same pants as last night. Turned out the little guy, got up, changed his pull up and his sweat pants (into similar ones from the night before ) BEFORE he came into our room. How sweet is that?

His father took him to school and I spent yet another day in bed staring at our blue walls, wondering how much it would really cost to redo our "master bath" (it really doesn't deserve that name, seriously crappy bathroom). Thank god for work keeping me busy cause otherwise I would seriously lose it. But it will all be worth it on 8/8/08 when my wonderful doctor induces me and baby Michael arrives! Although by that time I will have probably redecorated our bedroom, and taken every quiz on facebook.

Isn't it funny that you crave relaxation and when it is forced upon you, your head explodes a little bit?

Jason was nice enough to pick Alex up at school and bring home a happy meal, complete with a milk shake for our little guy. I also notice that Alex is not wearing what I dressed him in this morning. Turns out he went to the bathroom in his pants and threw up. Sounds like a 5 star day at school. Fun laundry tonight! The joys of being a parent.

Jason went on his well deserved "man date" tonight with his friends. I find it hilarious that they all chose to go to the movies when the girls have dinner and wine on their "Wine Wednesdays". They go on actual dates. We are very lucky that our spouses/signifcant others all get along.

Tomorrow is vet day, grocery shopping (for Alex and Jason, too much for me) and 20 days until Michael arrives!
